Sharing my passion for science, art, and human nature while making use of my creative streak is what initially drew me to the field of exhibition design. My interest in museum interpretation took root during my undergraduate studies at College of the Atlantic, where I developed and designed an exhibit about the camera obscura at the Dorr Museum of Natural History. Being present for the "Aha!" moment when visitors stepped into the camera obscura for the first time was a profound and formative experience. Since then, I have worked in exhibits at the Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine, the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY, El Valle Amphibian Conservation Center in Panama, Philadelphia's American Swedish Historical Museum, the Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and the National Constitution Center.
I will forever be an appreciator of art, curious about the natural world, passionate about social justice, and in search of new ways to translate those subjects into interactive, thought-provoking, and delightful experiences for museum visitors.
